Michael Dell

Can you imagine 21st century without technology, without laptops. Even a single day which is spend without laptop, seems strange. The Dell laptops are really famous all over the world. Michael Dell was  born February 23, 1965 in Houston, Texas, Michael Dell helped launch the personal computer revolution in the 1980s with the creation of Dell Computer, which began in the founder's dorm room at the University of Texas and quickly blossomed into a megawatt computer company. By 1992, just eight years after Dell was founded, Michael Dell was the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company.Dell's success wasn't entirely surprising. While his mother, a stockbroker, and his father, an orthodontist, pushed their son to consider medicine, Dell showed an early interest in technology and business.A hard worker, Dell landed a job washing dishes at a Chinese restaurant at the age 12 so that he could put away money for his stamp collection. A few years later he harnassed his ability to sift through data to find new customers for newspaper subscriptions for the Houston Post, which earned the high school student $18,000 in one single year.Intrigued by the expanding world of computers and gadgetry, Dell purchased an early Apple computer at the age of 15 for the strict purpose of taking it apart to see how it worked.

Success of Dell

It was in college that Dell found the niche that would become his boom. The PC world was still young and Dell realized that no company had tried selling directly to customers. Bypassing the middleman and the markups, Dell tapped his savings account for $1,000 and started building and selling computers for people he knew at college. His emphasis, however, wasn't just on good machines, but strong customer support and cheaper prices. Soon, he had accounts outside of school and it wasn't long before Dell dropped out and focused all his efforts on his business. The numbers proved staggering. In 1984, Dell's first full year in business, he had $6 million in sales. By 2000, Dell was a billionaire and his company had offices in 34 countries and employee count of more than 35,000. The following year, Dell Computer surpassed Compaq Computer as the world's largest PC maker.Overall, Dell's first 20 years proved to be one of the most successful businesses on the planet, surprising such titans as Wal-Mart and General Electric. Dell's story is so compelling that in 1999 he published a bestselling book about his success, Direct from Dell: Strategies That Revolutionized the Industry.
Michael Dell is my favorite and inspiring entrepreneur. From his life we can learn so many things and it will help us in the future.  For him the most important thing is to work for his success of his company not just for his interest or his hobby. He always tries to find a new ways on his path of success. The main thing in life is not to have the college graduate or genius person, the main thing is to have a dream and framework which can help us to find a way in any situation and will  lead us for better life.

Ingvar Feodor Kamprad

Ingvar Feodor Kamprad is the founder/ceo of IKEA, a retail company. He was born in Pjätteryd near the small village of Agunnaryd in Ljungby Municipality in the province of Småland, Sweden. His paternal grandfather was from Germany but moved the family to Sweden. Kamprad's second wife, Margaretha Kamprad-Stennert, died from an undisclosed disease in 2011 Kamprad owns a villa in upmarket Switzerland, a large country estate in Sweden, and a vineyard in Provence, France. Additionally, Kamprad was famous for driving a Porsche for several years.Kamprad has lived in Epalinges, Switzerland since 1976. He drives a 1993 Volvo 240, flies only economy class. He reportedly recycles tea bags and is known to pocket the salt and pepper packets at restaurants. He is known for purchasing Christmas paper and presents in post-Christmas sales. The firm he created is still known for the attention it gives to cost control, operational details and continuous product development, allowing it to lower its prices by an average of 2-3% over the decade to 2010, while continuing its global expansion.

Success of IKEA

The name IKEA was formed from Kamprad's initials (I.K.) plus the first letters of Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd, the farm and village where he grew up. He continued to expand his business to a variety of goods, including wallets, watches, jewelery and stockings. When he outgrew his ability to call on his customers individually, he converted to a sort of makeshift mail order operation, hiring the local milk van to make his deliveries. In 1947, Kamprad introduced furniture into the IKEA product line. The use of local manufacturers allowed him to keep his costs down. The furniture was a hit, and in 1951, Kamprad decided to discontinue all other product lines and focus on furniture. In 1953, the first IKEA showroom opened. It came about because of competitive pressures. IKEA was in a price war with its main competitor. The showroom allowed people to see it, touch it, feel it, and be sure of the quality before buying.IKEA has now become known worldwide for its innovative and stylish designs. Almost all IKEA products are designed to for flat packaging, which reduces shipping costs, minimizes transport damage, increases store inventory capacity, and makes it easier for customers to take the furniture home themselves, rather than needing delivery. But the original reason for it was competitive pressure from IKEA's competitors to their suppliers, who actually boycotted IKEA, forcing IKEA to do it themselves. Kamprad's vision has been the driving force behind IKEA's succcess. IKEA hires its own designers, who have received numerous awards over the years. Kamprad believes that the company exists not just to improve people's lives, but to improve the people themselves. The self-service store design and ease of assembly of their furniture are not merely cost controls, but an opportunity for self-sufficiency. This vision is reinforced in their advertising and catalog, as well.
He is a person who earns a lot and spends less. That makes people to earn more money, pay attention to each cent. People think he is cheap person, But it is not like that, We have to understand the value of money like him.

Steve Jobs

Nowadays we see on internet everywhere that is written" 3 apples which changed the world, 1st one is the apple from Adam and Eva, the second one is which fell down to Isaac Newton, and the 3rd one is which Steve Jobs created Apple Inc. "Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, but raised in Mountain View, Santa Clara by his adoptive parents, Paul and Clara Jobs. He attended Reed College in Oregon but was to drop out after the first semester, returning home to attend the Homebrew Computer Club with friend , Steve Wozniak, who he met working summer employment at Hewlett-Packard, and working as a technician at Atari, a video game producer.

Success of Apple

When Jobs was twenty-one he and Wozniak marketed a computer Wozniak had designed for his personal use. With the intent to only sell printed circuit boards, they ended their season with a lot of completed computers, selling them for just over $650.00. The Apple II sold the following year, then the Apple III was introduced in 1980, the same year Apple Computers became incorporated. The company later produced the Macintosh, the world’s first successful GUI (Graphical user interface) consumer computer. In three years, Jobs saw a 700% growth in his company. However, IBM was becoming a glaring advocate, having developed their own personal computer.Jobs was able to hire John Scully from Pepsi-Cola to assist the company saying by coming to Apple he can change the world. Though Apple saw unprecedented success with the Macintosh, selling over 400,000 in the first year, Jobs left Apple having been demoted for his underdog business tactics by Wozniak and another corporate partner to open his own company: NeXR, that would produce educational programming. Jobs was to recieve the “1989 Software Publishers Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award” for his company’s final product, though it wasn’t successful in sales. His new company however was to harbor in the invention of the World Wide Web, having Tim Berners-Lee develop it on a NeXR server. It was in the mid 1990′s that Apple’s focus of ancient software and some internal problems almost bankrupted the company. With an annual salary of $1.00 a year, Jobs was invited back to Apple and with his interests in Unix operation systems, Jobs was to rescue the handicapped company. His influence in Apple remains rigorous and punctual. The term “getting Steved” refers to Job’s, rare but terrorizing, sacking of employees. To this day, Apple continues to grow, reaching to new venues owning the majority of today’s portable MP3 player market with the iPod, which was quick to become a cultural icon
Live in a way that is ethically responsible. Try to make a difference in this world and contribute to the higher good. You’ll find it gives more meaning to your life and it’s a great antidote to boredom. There is always so much to be done. And talk to others about what you are doing. Don’t preach or be self-righteous, or fanatical about it, that just puts people off, but at the same .time, don’t be shy about setting an example, and use opportunities that arise to let others know what you are doing.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates is the most richest guy in the world. His life story is quite interesting. William Gates III was born in 1955. The son of an attorney and a teacher, Gates grew up in Seattle with his two sisters. He began dabbling in computer programming at age 13 and sold his first program to a school for about $4,000. As a teenager, he befriended Paul Allen, and the two both left Seattle to attend Harvard University. While at Harvard, they formed a company specializing in computer software, which they named Microsoft. They trademarked the name in 1976.Gates did not finish his education at Harvard. He dropped out in his junior year to devote himself to Microsoft. Gates and Allen saw huge growth potential in the personal computer industry and thought Microsoft could write the necessary software to run personal computers. The company made its first big strike in 1980, when IBM agreed to let Microsoft write the operating system for its new personal computer. This language became known as MS-DOS.

Success in Microsoft

The early years of Microsoft were much like that of any startup firm. Everyone wore multiple hats – from answering phones to writing code. In fact, there are reports that in the early years Gates insisted on proofreading every line of code that was used in a finished project and would often change his colleagues’ work.Much of Microsoft’s growth can be attributed to a contractual clause Gates included in his 1980 deal with IBM. The stipulation allowed him to license MS-DOS and sell it to other personal computer companies. MS-DOS spread quickly throughout the personal computing arena. Allen left the company in 1983 after a serious illness, although he remained a member of Microsoft's board of directors for many years. In 1985, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was introduced. A year later, Microsoft was listed on the New York Stock Exchange, with Gates attaining billionaire status
Gates stepped aside as CEO of Microsoft in 2000 with Steve Ballmer, another Harvard friend, taking over that role. Gates remains the chairman of Microsoft, although in 2006 he announced he plans to back away from day-to-day Microsoft operations by 2008.Gates has taken a considerable amount of his wealth and funneled it into philanthropic causes. His post-Microsoft plans include devoting more time to charity. His most well-known project is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which he started with his wife. The foundation was formed in 2000 and aims to reduce global poverty, improve global health and increase technology awareness in American schools. Gates also donated the proceeds from books he authored to nonprofits that work to improve the application of technology in educational settings. The Gates Foundation is reported to be worth more than $30 billion.
As we can see that person can be successful in anyway and in any situation. No matter you have Phd or you even do not have the certificate of graduation. The main thing is to work hard and get the opportunity and do not miss the chance in the life.  Even if Bill Gates was dropped out from Harvard, but now he is the top billionaire in the world.  He said once " I will choose lazy person to do the difficult job, because he will find an easy way to do" We can analyze that sometimes no need to make big problems from small things, Just take it easy and find an easy way to solve it.

Milton Hershey

Is there any kid or adult person who does not like chocolate. Whatever happening in our life,we love to eat chocolate. And Hershey is such a delicious chocolate which is loved by everyone. And the founder of Hershey`s is by the same name is Milton Hershey. The founder of the Hershey Chocolate Company, which popularized chocolate candy throughout world, Milton Snavely Hershey was born September 13, 1857. He was the only surviving child of Veronica "Fanny" Snavely and Henry Hershey. Hershey spent the early years of his childhood trailing his father, a dreamer who always had his eye out for the next big opportunity. But Henry Hershey lacked the perseverance and work ethic to stick anything.

 The Chocolate King

At the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, Hershey got an up-close look at the art of chocolate making. He was immediately hooked. While his caramel business boomed, Hershey started the Hershey Chocolate Company. His interest and taste quickly became focused on milk chocolate, considered a delicacy and largely the domain of the Swiss. Hershey was determined to find a new formula that would allow him to mass-produce and mass-distribute milk chocolate candy. In 1900 he sold the Lancaster Caramel Company for an astonishing $1 million. Three years later he began building a mammoth and modern candy-making facility in his birthplace of Derry Church. It opened in 1905, setting a new course for Hershey and the candy industry.Quickly, the Hershey Chocolate Company's success far exceeded that of its founder's previous venture. His winning ideas included the Hershey Kiss in 1907, which the company's founder named himself. The trademark foil wrapper was added in 1924. During World War II, Hershey backed the country's military efforts by supplying forces with chocolate bars called the Ration D Bar and the better-tasting Tropical Chocolate Bar.
To those who knew Hershey, his generosity wasn't surprising. Shy and reserved, Hershey's quiet demeanor contrasted greatly with many of America's other business titans. While he seldom wrote or read, and had been forced to leave school early, Hershey was driven to make sure those around him received a great education. His display of wealth was rather modest, if not downright thrifty. His house and the community he'd helped create meant everything to him. When it came to building his own home, he made sure the Hershey Company

People always try to advertise themselves their products, But the best advertisement is quality. Milton Hershey knew what people wanted and he gave them what exactly what they need. His success in the business is because he never satisfied  with mediocrity, and in making the most of my opportunities. And this really important in business and life

Sam Walton

Sam Walton was born in 1918 the depression era. Living on a farm they owned until 1923 when they realized they could not make enough profits. The start to many of Sam’s accomplishments came into focus when he was in 8th grade and became the youngest Eagle scout in state history.Sam was a good athlete, even though he was not great in class work outside of sports he still made it to the honor role with lots of hard work. He played sports in high school. He later attended the University of Missouri. He worked vary hard to stay in college.Sam worked in DuPont at JcPenny’s than resigned to await being drafted into the Army. While waiting he met his future wife who lived in Claremore. They met, and a year later was married. The next year they had their first child. Over the next few years few years they had a few more children until they had a girl in 1949.

 Wal Mart Success
After Sam Walton got out of the Army he borrowed money from his father-in-law and used money he saved to open a store. Using his head Sam purchased another store before finalizing his sale to his landlord. He made a large profit from his other store. After the sale finalized him and his family moved. He than opened another store 20 miles south of Bentonville named like the other Walton 5&10 although it was not with the Ben Franklin franchise. He hired a gentleman to run the second store but did not neglect it at all.Sam opened several more stores over the years. He had 16 different stores based on his ideas. These ideas developed into Walmart. Walmart opened in 1962 becoming the number one retailer. Because of Walmart more than 600,000people have jobs. Walmart is running according to Sam’s beliefs.Walmart’s knack for convenience shopping at an affordable price has made it a highly productive business. Sam was the kind of man who cared about easing spending for consumers and this surely aided in his success. He has done a great deal with his life. He worked with three main people on his business. He worked with his brother, father-in-law, and brother-in-law. To tell you a few of Sam’s values there is hometown identity, each person is warmly greeted, a high school senor gets greeted with a collage scholarship from each Wal-mart, the worker decide where to donate to, and the prices are low.

What we can understand from his inspiring life story is that he never stopped working didn`t afraid of anything, and he just moved forward. His life was not easy, but he did not pay attention and complain. He just changed his life by himself  and got the success. People say " If you do not like something, change it, If you cannot change it, change your opinion to that thing, do not complain" Such a wise quote. I think Sam Walton did the same way like this quote.

Anita Roddick

The Body Shop is very famous shops in all over the world. It has unique way of arrangement and it looks so accurate inside of the shop and it is really easy to shop there. Anita Roddick is my favorite business entrepreneur who opened up the set of shops The Body Shop. From the opening of a small company in Brighton, England, in 1976 Anita Roddick had extended travel where she unearthed a multitude of stories that would influence the recipes for her cosmetics. During her time away from England, the Body Shop was but a thought in Roddick’s head on how to pull in an income for herself and her two daughters while her husband, Gordon Roddick, was away in the United States. became one of England’s wealthiest women with assets totaling over 300 million. Before opening her company: the Body Shop in 1976, Roddick had a tremulous upbringing. Having been born from a hard-working Italian mother she was put to work at a young age in her mother and American father’s café where she developed a strong work ethic. Roddick today said there was little leisure for her in the café when she was young. Sadly, her parents were to divorce when she was eight.

 The Body Shop Success

She went on to work for the United Nations where she travelled extensively and met people from a number of different cultures. These experiences would help shape her future career. The birth of the ‘The Body Shop’ came about in 1976 due to a need by Roddick to create a livelihood for herself and her daughters while her husband was trekking across the Americas. The first Body Shop was basic and at first sold only 15 lines. Thanks to her own earlier travels, she had a wealth of experience and exposure to the body rituals of women from all over the world from which to draw. , she became the first to introduce socially and environmentally responsible business onto the High Street and began talking about fair trade long before it became a buzz word. The Body Shop today is a business with 1,980 stores serving over 77 million customers in 50 different markets and 25 different languages. The Body Shop's Mission Statement sets out a dedication to the pursuit of social and environmental change. The shops and products help communicate human rights and environmental issues. Throughout her career, Roddick continued to campaign tirelessly against environmental and social wrongs around the world. In 2003, Roddick's achievements were recognised when she was knighted by the Queen, and officially styled as Dame Anita Roddick.Three years later, the Body Shop was purchased by L'Oreal for £652.3 million. This caused controversy, partly because L'Oreal is said to be involved in animal testing, and partly because it is said to be part-owned by multinational conglomerate Nestlé.While Roddick had been a strong campaigner on ethical issues, Nestlé was been the subject of a long standing boycott call for its marketing of baby milk powder in third world countries.
Anita Roddick is a person who can inspire women by her life story. There are so many shops like The Body Shop in the world, But only The Body Shop could earn its name and brand. It is all because of her hard working and her willing to work. Once she said " I rush, i do everything, go to this meeting after that another meeting and busy days, But i enjoy it, I love it"  The most important thing is that she loved her job and what she was doing.
